The application is short (four questions) and will lead to an interview process. If you have any questions about joining USAC or what we do, please contact us at [email protected]. We are so excited to meet you! Howdy! USAC is currently working on a new CHEN handbook for incoming sophomores to aid in the transition to the department. If you are a CHEN alumni with valuable tips or experience you wish to share to incoming CHEN students, please complete this quick survey! (Your input can be anonymous if you wish.)
*The survey can be completed in less than five minutes, depending on how much you would like to submit. The Chemical Engineering department is currently reviewing the curriculum of CHEN students and they need our help! Our feedback is critical to the future of the Chemical Engineering program! Please complete the 15 minute survey here. The survey does not collect any personal identifying information and is being conducted by a third party (Center for Teaching Excellence).
As courses begin to wind down, professors will be sending links to two surveys: one to review the structure of the course (for ABET certification) and the traditional PICA instructor evaluation. USAC would like to encourage all CHEN students to take time filling out these surveys, as both will be used in the coming years to improve the curriculum and teaching methods of the department.
Please note that all questions about taking CHEN classes S/U and accreditation should be directed to the CHEN department advisors who will go through each situation on a case-by-case basis. USAC and Dr. Ugaz can help give input, but ultimately the authority on how S/U affects each degree plan is up to the advisors.
Contact the CHEN undergraduate advisors here. After listening to input from the undergraduate body, the department has purchased benches and installed them in the JEB lobby. Thank you to all the students who provided their input on the Fall survey to help make this upgrade possible! We all look forward to using them once classes resume in-person in the Fall.
